OUR INVISALIGN SPECIALIST AT THANTAKIT

Dr.Thiti Sirikrai, known by his patients as Dr. Ken, obtained his dental degree from Chulalongkorn University in 1996, Certificate in Clinical Orthodontics and Master of Science in Orthodontics with Distinction from Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA in 2000. He conducted an original research on the topics of ‘A Comparative Evaluation of Frictional Resistances in Low-Nickel Orthodontic Appliances’ for his Master Thesis and had given a poster presentation in the Annual Meeting of the International Association for Dental Research in Washington DC in the year 2000. Dr.Sirikrai also achieved a Certificate of Lingual Orthodontics from Asian Gorman Institute in Taipei, Taiwan in 2001.  Since graduation, he has been a guest lecturer in Biomechanics and Invisalign Technology for Postgraduate Orthodontic students at Mahidol University, and has published his original article in the Journal of the Thai Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Thiti Sirikrai is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation, Thai Association of Orthodontists, and Siam Lingual Orthodontics Society.  In 2002, he became an accredited Invisalign provider and then began his first Invisalign case later that year.  Since 2000, Dr.Sirikrai has been practicing various modalities of orthodontic treatment including Lingual Orthodontics, Self-Ligating Orthodontic appliances, Functional appliances, and to date, has done over 250 Invisalign cases.  From 2003-2006, he has been involved with Invisalign Technology distribution in Thailand and has organized Invisalign Certification courses for Thai orthodontists in April 2003 and Mar 2005 accordingly.  In 2007, Dr.Sirikrai was appointed an Invisalign lecturer for the Southeast Asia Region and has delivered Invisalign Certification Programs in the Philippines and Vietnam.   Now Dr.Sirikrai serves as Associate Clinical Director at Thantakit International Dental Center, his family own private practice since 1945.  He is currently an Invisalign Platinum Elite Provider and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

At present, Dr.Gus serves as ‘Clinical Director’ of the Orthodontic Program at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education, from where Dr.Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai graduated the Master Degree in Orthodontics in the year 2000.
	Now Saint Louis University’s Dreiling-Marshall Center for Advanced Dental Education is considered the largest orthodontic school in the world. The old orthodontic school dates back to the early 1900 century, and was originated by the idea of Dr. Edward H. Angle’s first orthodontic school in the world in Saint Louis since 1900. And that’s why the Headquarters of the American Association of Orthodontists is also located in Saint Louis, Missouri. Beginning in Sep 1997, a 27,500 square foot open warehouse was converted into 47,200 square feet of finished office/teaching/research/patient care space. Construction was completed in April 1998 at a cost of US$ 4.1 million, plus almost US$2 million in supplies and capital equipment. The facility has been described by prominent national and international visitors and scholars as the finest facility for advanced dental education in the world.
	The Orthodontic Program here is also considered the biggest class in the world. Each year the program accepts 7 US and 7 international orthodontic residents from all over the world. So, there are more than 40 orthodontic residents from 3 years (classes) studying, researching, and providing orthodontic care to patients in this center. As seen in the picture, some of the international students (one is also Thai) are discussing and exchanging their clinical ideas in the clinic. Dr.Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai was once lucky and smart enough to get in this fantastic program and spent time doing his orthodontic training here in the center during the year 1998 – 2000.

	Marbella, Spain May 2006 Dr. Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai participated in Invisalign European Summit at Marbella, Spain in May 2006.
	Invisalign Certification Program in Manila, Philippines by Dr. Thiti (Ken) on 28 November 2007 Dr. Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai was a lecturer for Invisalign Certification Program in Manila, Philippines in November 2007. The certificate shown on the left was granted to all participated dentists with his signature as a lecturer.
	Hong Kong December 2007 Dr. Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai attended Invisalign Clinical Workshop in Hong Kong in December 2007.
	Baveno, Italy May 2008 Dr. Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai participated in Invisalign European Summit at Baveno, Italy in May 2008.
	Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam June 2008 Dr. Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai delivered a lecture for Invisalign Certification Program at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in June 2008.
	Bangkok, Thailand June 2008 Dr. Thiti (Ken) Sirikrai was a lecturer at the Annual Thai Association of Orthodontists Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand in June 2008.
